Florida's second-largest utility company will no longer be known as Progress Energy come April 2013, as the company will be taking on its new name, Duke Energy, the Tampa Bay Times reports. Progress Energy and Duke Energy merged July 2, becoming the largest utility company in the U.S. with 7.1 million customers in Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and the Carolinas. Duke Energy announced Tuesday it would being rolling out its new look and combined name across its six-state service territory in the first and second quarters of 2013, the Times reports. Progress Energy has more than 1.6 million customers in Florida.
